4. Fees
Winter 2023 Fees
The clubs preferred method is Payments before these dates all players will be invoiced to their email provided at Sign On:
Saturday Season Total - $500
Sunday 50 Overs (Fortnightly) Season Total - $300
Total includes club membership, affiliation with Warehouse, umpire fees, wicket fees, balls.
There is also a $22.50 insurance fee to Cricket Australia paid on registration with PlayHQ.
If your matches are washed out, you are injured or leave the club etc you will be reimbursed a pro-rata portion of your fees at seasons end.
***Captains will not be collecting cash on the day from players for all matches. This has been done to reduce workload on the Team Captains who would rather be focusing on winning matches and getting the team prepared than collecting money. The onus is on you to be up to date with fees otherwise selection will not be guaranteed***
If you would like to discuss anything about playing fees please don’t hesitate to talk to the Treasurer and a payment plan can be worked out for the season.
5. Clothing
Our club has club playing shirts that are compulsory to wear for all players long sleeve and short sleeve are available. Our major sponsor is sponsoring the shirts. Club Caps or White Floppy Cricket Hat must be worn match days these are available for purchase for $20. Skate caps, other caps/shirts etc. must not be worn.
6. Club assistance
If you have any skills in your occupation (ie. Plumber, Electrician, Accountant, Solicitor, Landscaper, Webpage Designer etc) or any potential business sponsors/contacts please speak to a member of the committee about options to assist the club in fundraising efforts. Also any fundraising ideas please speak to a member of the committee.
7. Match Days/Selection/Training/Ground Prep
A text message will be sent to all players stating availability for the next game. Players must confirm if available to play cricket. Even if unsure please tell us early as selecting teams is a time consuming task.
Sunday only players will be given first preference for Sunday teams. Double up players from Saturdays regardless of ability will only be used when all available Sunday only players are selected first.
Training will be on Thursday nights from 6:30pm. Attendance is not compulsory. The nets and field are available for use other nights of the week for additional training. Enquire with the committee.
Players need to arrive at the ground at least 30 minutes before start of play please inform your captain if you cannot arrive then as a team sheet must be provided before the match to the umpires/opposition in Warehouse matches and your captain needs assistance with team preparation tasks.
Wicket covers may need to be removed from the field or put on prior to match day captains and the groundsman will organise. If you are the team playing at home you are responsible for covers for the pitch please assist where possible this includes putting them away after all scheduled matches.
Saturday fixtures start @ 11:30am and finish at 4:30pm.
Sunday 50 fixtures begin @ 10:00am and could finish as late as 5:00pm.
Lifts to and from away games can be organised within the relevant teams and the club encourages this to save on costs. While there is no obligation to stay back/return to the club after matches it is genuinely appreciated by the committee that players stay after play finishes. It is a social cricket competition and all players should try to engage in the social aspects of the club. Please speak to the executive committee if you have any ideas or wish to facilitate any after match activities.
8. Volunteers
The club is run by volunteers for example they do the cleaning of the club, maintenance of the building, upkeep of the playing fields/nets and run the canteen/bar. We are looking for help with all of these tasks especially help with the canteen on match days. If you, family or friends are available to help during the week or match days please contact the club executive. If you are unavailable for selection due to injury you can assist your team and club with scoring, running the canteen etc. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
9. Code of Conduct
Warehouse Cricket has a code of conduct. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated by the club or association. Alcohol is not to be consumed during the hours of play. Repeat offenders will be asked to leave the club.
On behalf of the committee we welcome you to the club and good luck for the season ahead.
